So you’ve found your niche and you want to start your Adwords campaign.  Let me tell you, Google Adwords is dangerous…in an hour, you can almost drop your whole budget for the day if you do it wrong.  So i’m going to give you some tips to help you manage your adwords campaigns.  If you follow these steps, you can optimize your keywords, bid less on them, and ultimately create more profit.

1.  SET A REASONABLE DAILY BUDGET

Having a good amount of a budget for your campaign each day is crucial.  You don’t want to budget too low or too high.  Google gives you an estimator that calculates this according to CPC and estimates of clicks each day but most of the times it doesn’t work well.  Set an amount that you can handle each day.

2.  SPACE YOUR ADS

Show your ads evenly throughout the day.  If you choose accelerated ads, your ads might not show up at the end of the day when your budget runs out.  By spacing  evenly, you can be assured that your ads will show all day.

3.  REMOVE BAD KEYWORDS

By tracking keywords, you should remove keywords that are performing poorly.  After 100 clicks, you do not get any sales from that keyword, remove it and replace it with another keyword and ad.  The faster you find those keywords, the more you can focus on other keywords that are turning in profits.

4.  DO NOT LOWER YOUR CPC BIDS

After you find your profitable keywords and you feel like you want to lower your CPC bids, don’t do it!  Google probably won’t keep your ranking, your ads will show at lower rankings instead of showing your ads at the same place with lower CPC.  It will decrease the amount of targeted clicks and your ROI will fall.

5.  YOU DON’T NEED TO BE #1

1-2 Rankings for your ads will be bullseye for happy clickers.  These clicks will not be really targeted and if they do click, usually they will just browse around and leave without purchasing anything.  You will be wasting precious money by doing that.  Target rankings 3-6.  Research shows you will get more targeted clicks from that area.

Well, if you are a ClickBank affiliate, this is one software that you should purchase to have an edge over other competitors. Brad Callen, the creator of SEO Elite and Keyword Elite brings affiliates another tool that really gives an unfair edge to people with out it. What does this program do? It has 4 functions.

1. Find Profitable Affiliate Products to Promote

Affiliate Elite’s first function downloads the current ClickBank Marketplace data into the program where you can sort every product by every category available. It also has a historical data on the merchants for their ranking, gravity, popularity, commission and so on. Now how can you tell if this helps you find a profitable product? By looking at historical data of rankings, gravity, and popularity one can generalize which products are hot to promote, going up the trend, or if it’s on a decline.

2. Reverse Google Search

This tool asks you to input a domain name and when it’s finished doing it’s thing, it lists all the adwords keywords that the site owner is using to bring traffic to that domain. It also shows the adwords title and the first and second lines as well so you can literally copy their entire ad. Now, this is very useful when it comes to spying on the competition as you can outbid other competitors using the same keywords. It also shows the ranking of those keyword ads and the Organic search rankings as well.

3. Analyze Adwords Competition

This function has similar input to Google Adwords as it will ask you to create a campaign and input keywords. It then will search for all ads in that campaign and tell you how many ads are showing for that current keyword. It can search either through Google or Yahoo. This tool gives you an idea of how many competitors are going for that exact keyword.

4. Find Super Affiliates

This function asks you to input either a Merchant ID or Affiliate ID and it will search the web for any product that Merchant or Affiliate is promoting. It’s so easy to find super affiliates this way since you know exactly who they are by seeing what they are promoting and how many products they are promoting as well. If you are a publisher and you want to look for JV partners or affiliates who will market your products, this makes it real easy for you.

The program also comes with loads of training videos so you can make use of the program right away, which is very supportive of Brad. With updates to the software and a forum for all the marketers who’ve purchased affiliate elite, there is a forum on the website that you can participate in, ask questions on how to fully utilize the program.

What is a list? It’s a list of names who subscribed to your newsletter, previous customers who have purchased products from your site before, or subscribers in your blog who are in a email list instead of RSS feeds. These are potential future customers that you haven’t tapped for future products that you will promote. I will list some reasons why it is so important to have a list because if you don’t have one, you are still a newb, like how I used to be 3 years ago.

THE LIST IS FREE TRAFFIC

You’ve already gotten their email address. All you need to do is email them whenever something huge is about to hit the market, get them ready, pre-sell with your website. When the product hits the market, give them incentives to buy through your affiliate link with pile-on bonuses. You are not paying for their clicks from Google Adwords, Yahoo, or MSN. This is potential money maker and most new marketers do not utilize this.

THE LIST IS BULLSEYE TARGETED

The people who are in your list have shown interest in your niche or have purchased products from you before. That just means that this is the most targeted group of people that you have access to. CTR through these names will be high and all you have to do is use your autoresponder to keep personal with these people, let them know what’s going on with you and the market.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR LIST

People are turned off by barrages of promotional offers and they will probably just erase your email even before reading it. Like I’ve said before, be personal with them. If you are going away for a while, let them know “oh I’m going on a vacation, i hope it’d be great” something like that works. Also, give them free promotion that may be helpful to them such as an e-book or an article that you’ve found that’s interesting. Let them know in advance that a product is hitting the market and the readers are the first to know.

AUTORESPONDERS

Chances are, you probably can’t get yourself to email hundreds nor thousands of people. So what do you do? You outsource it to other companies. That way, you save yourself the trouble, plus you won’t get arrested for spamming. There are two big autoresponder companies that are very popular. They are:

• Getresponse

These companies charge a nominal monthly fee but the services they offer is outstanding. You can choose to have multiple lists, single and double opt. options, move names from one list to another, just to name a few. Check them out and choose what you think is best.
