What are Landing pages? Landing pages are pages where the potential customer lands before clicking on the link to get to the product purchase page. Other name for it is a pre-sell page. Like its name, the job is to give raves about the product, why it’s good, why you should purchase and so on.
Pre-selling is important because it gets the customer all hyped up about the product. It’s like reviewing a product. Talk about the pros and cons. Tell them if they buy the product, they will get bonus offers of this and that and so on. Lead them on and let them drool over the product and whip out their cards. You do have to make Landing Pages professional looking of course. Who would listen to you if your page looks like something out of a frontpage template?
Besides that though, there is another function and it’s a pretty important one if you are using Google Adwords to bring traffic. See, Google only allows one domain to show for keywords. What this means is that if you are an Amazon Affiliate, have a Google Adwords Campaign, and link directly to Amazon, your ad will not show up unless you have the highest bid, or your quality score is higher than your competitors. You aren’t the only one in affiliate marketing you know. There are others promoting the same product if your niche is popular. But if you had a landing page with your own domain, someone will have an amazon link and you will show a link to your own domain. This will lower your CPC(Cost Per Click) and you wouldn’t have to deal with competitors having direct links to Amazon anymore.
