Affiliate Marketing? Grab A Domain First!
Do you have a domain name yet? If not, get one!. 10 dollars a year or cheaper. How do you expect to earn money if you are not willing to spend a little? Money makes money. You MUST have your own domain!
It’s very crucial that you have your own domain and web hosting when it comes to affiliate marketing. If you are a blogger, blospot or wordpress might be suitable in the beginning, but if you want authority and want to be recognized, having your own domain is the key. Landing pages need their own domain, you can’t just be linking to the publisher directly all the time, pre-selling is key here.
How do you choose a domain name? Decide on a name that is relevant to the products you are promoting. If it’s an mp3 player, how about something like mp3playersreview.com or net or us or whatever that’s available.(.coms are still the best choice IMHO) You can make your domain similar to the company you are promoting if you want, adding dashes or an extra letter, for example, if i was promoting an e-book, Beating Adwords, i would try to get something like beating-adwords.com or beatingtheadwords.com. From those domains, you can have your own landing page or choose to redirect it to the publisher with your affiliate link.
